Students learn about the characteristics of the rocky intertidal habitat, what tides are, how tidepools are formed, and how animals are specially adapted to live there. They will talk about the different stresses on the animals that live in the tidepools, and which animals they may see during the exploration. Responsible tidepool practices and safety rules will be discussed. At the same time, a second instructor will brief the adults on their role in the program. This fee is non-refundable. USABO, BIotope, Microbio, and AP Environmental Students only.
