Three IN-PERSON sessions January 12, 26, February 2 (Note that classes do not meet January 19 due to the MLK, Jr. Holiday.) Participants will learn the basics of folding and cutting a book to create a design made from a pattern. Included in supplies will be a book, a pattern, basic tools, and finishing materials such as decorative paper and ribbon. A little “homework” will be required so that each participant will have a finished product by the end of the course. Originally from College Park, Georgia, Susan Biddy has lived in Gainesville for 56 years. She graduated from North Georgia College (now UNG) and taught for several years, mostly middle-school years. When Susan left teaching, she served as a volunteer in several community organizations and enjoyed a variety of crafts, the latest being book folding. Susan’s older daughter introduced her to book folding about 10 years ago, and she hasn’t stopped yet!
