In this hands-on class, Astrida Teneng will work along side inspiring chefs and share with them the skills to create life-long healthy eating habits. Astrida Teneng is a Registered Dietitian, a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist, and a Mom. She will discuss American food culture and teach students how to prepare healthy (and artistic) meals. She is the founder of Diathrive Nutrition LLC. This is an in-person hands-on class. Participants will work with the instructor in our professional kitchen to prepare the recipes listed in the class description. Everyone will then get to enjoy these recipes together. Students should wear closed toe, non-slip shoes. Students with long hair should tie their hair up or wear a bandana. Please indicate if student has any allergies to foods.
For your safety, we ask all students wear close toed, no slip shoes to this class.
No refunds will be granted for Let’s Cook@Casey programs. A one-time registration transfer is available to a Let’s Cook@Casey class of equal value if the exchange request is submitted in writing to LetsCook@gaithersburgmd.gov no less than 48 hours before the scheduled program time.
