About This Activity
Description
This class is ideal for students new to martial arts (white belts) or students that hold a gold or yellow belt in Uchudo, Taekwondo or Tang Soo Do, though higher ranks are accepted as well. Our mission is to help students build unshakable confidence, strengthen belief in themselves, and grow with courage and purpose. Through the traditional martial art of Uchudo, students develop focus, discipline, and self-control while learning how to protect themselves in a calm and confident way. Training is active, fun, and provides a great full-body workout. This class also includes practical self-defense skills designed for real-life situations. All our programs are offered in a safe, welcoming environment that supports diversity, equity, and inclusion.Fee includes T-shirt. New students will also be provided a white belt. After completing this class, students who meet all promotion requirements may qualify to test for their next belt (see the instructor for details). To continue your martial arts journey, you may enroll in the next session or become a member of The Traveling Dojo. Belt testing for eligible students is held during the week immediately following the session.
All current City of Gaithersburg health protocols must be followed in order to attend class.
Withdrawal requests need to be received in writing at least 7 days prior to the class start date and are subject to a $10 processing fee. No refunds within 7 days of the start of the class.
