Body Detectives: Adventures in Anatomy Welcome to Body Detectives: Adventures in Anatomy! In this exciting class designed for curious young minds in grades 3 through 5 (though older kids are welcome too!), we embark on an unforgettable journey into the intricate world of human anatomy. Through a series of hands-on experiments and interactive activities, students will unravel the mysteries of the human body one discovery at a time. Each session is packed with engaging learning experiences that foster both scientific understanding and a sense of wonder. Throughout the week, students will have the opportunity to explore the anatomy of various animals, including dissecting pig hearts, sheep pucks, and cow eyes. These dissections provide a fascinating glimpse into the similarities and differences between animal and human anatomy, sparking insightful discussions and deeper understanding. But that's not all! In addition to dissections, students will also engage in the creation of hands-on models representing different body systems. From crafting circulatory systems to building skeletal structures, these activities provide a tactile way for students to grasp complex anatomical concepts and reinforce their learning. By the end of the week, our young detectives will have gained a newfound appreciation for the wonders of the human body. They will leave the class with a deeper understanding of anatomy.
