Description
Attire: black leotard (no skirts), pink tights, pink ballet shoes. Hair in a bun or ponytail (short hair pulled away from the face with a headband or barrettes)This class is for students who have previously taken at least five years of ballet or permission from instructor. Barre work will continue to strengthen body placement/alignment, increase technique, and introduce demi pointe work. Center practice exercises concentrate on correct placement and balance without use of the barre. Simple petite allegro and traveling enchainment will be executed.
Young Artists Ballet (YAB)
YAB is based on the internationally recognized methodology of the Royal Academy of Dance. The Academy’s syllabi have been devised with great care to enable a child to progress through their dance training in planned stages to insure safety of physical development and well-being. Ms. Kimm will adhere to the carefully structured syllabi and continue to train through the Academy’s professional development courses throughout their teaching careers. YAB Instructor, Ms. Becci Kimm has achieved lifetime membership to the Royal Academy of Dance.

This small class is for students with at least five years previous training in ballet or by permission of the instructor. Students will focus on semi-advanced barre work stressing body alignment, technique, and articulation of feet. Depending on the age of the student and strength of their feet and legs, pointe work will be introduced at the barre. The center practice incorporates adagio, pirouettes, petite and grande allegro. Pointe work is demonstrated both at barre and center.
