Description
You're ready for summer. Is your bike?
In this class, kids bring their bicycles in to make sure they are safe to ride. We will go over bicycle safety, protective gear, brakes, tires, and more.
This is a two day class.
Thursday, May 7th from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm Kids will learn what to inspect on their bikes and perform some simple maintenance together. Pick-up will be at the Girdwood School.
Thursday, May 14th from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pmA bike ride together starting at Girdwood School and ending at the Forest Service building where kids will help plant potatoes for the Food Bank Garden, and have a BBQ. Pick-up will be at the Forest Service building (145 Forest Station Rd). Parents are welcome to join the BBQ.
Students must bring their own bicycles and bike helmets to both class sessions.
Financial Aid/ Payment Plans: Financial aid is available if needed as well as payment plans to spread the cost of classes over time. Please email Julie at jjohnson@fourvalleys.org to take advantage of either option.
Refund Policy: If FVCS cancels a class you will receive a refund (except transaction fees which are charged by our service provider). If you withdraw more than 3 days prior to class, FVCS will charge a 25% fee to a maximum of $20 for admin costs and provide an account credit for the remaining tuition. If you withdraw less than 3 days before class starts, no refund or credit will be given.
