About This Activity
Description
Anchorage Weaving and Spinning Guild members are coming to Girdwood for this creative class! Learn beginning level spinning skills using a drop spindle to make your own yarn.
A drop spindle is one of the oldest ways people have traditionally spun fibers such as wool to make yarn and thread. It is a simple rod and whorl design that is easy to transport and use anywhere.
All materials will be provided. Participants get to keep their spindle to take home and continue practicing.
Financial Aid/ Payment Plans: Financial aid is available if needed as well as payment plans to spread the cost of classes over time. Please email Julie at jjohnson@fourvalleys.org to take advantage of either option.
