Musical Theatre - Once Upon a One More TimeAdvanced (Ages 12-18*)
Students in this class should be well-versed in musical theatre techniques, have four to five years of experience, and exude confidence onstage. During twice-weekly rehearsals, students will work with our director, music director, and choreographer to produce a two-act musical featuring advanced harmonies, choreography, and acting work.
This is a high-commitment class with an accelerated pace. Students are expected to be self-motivated, fully prepared for rehearsals, and consistent in practicing material outside of class in order to keep up with the demands of the production. Without regular preparation, students will quickly fall behind as material builds each week.
*New students entering Intermediate or Advanced level classes may be asked to submit additional materials prior to auditions to verify readiness and ensure a successful experience for each performer.
All students must be fully registered prior to auditions and the first class date. Placement auditions and a mandatory parent meeting will take place on the first class date, and attendance is required for all participants. Please do not register if you are unable to attend all required dates and times.
Registration guarantees a role in the production; however, auditions are used to determine individual casting and role assignments. Approximately one week before classes begin, families will receive an email with class information and an audition packet with materials to prepare in advance
With the exception of Broadway Kids, students may not be called for the full duration of each rehearsal session. Every student is guaranteed a minimum of one hour of instruction per meeting date.
Registration includes a $77 non-refundable production fee.
Mandatory Tech & Performance Dates
January 9 – 1:00-7:00 pm
January 11-15, 21-22 – 6:00-9:30 pm
January 16, 23 – 12:30-4:00 & 6:30-9:30
Placement auditions and callbacks take place on the first two class dates. Please do not register if you cannot attend all required dates/times. As this is an advanced-level class, new students may be asked to submit additional materials prior to the start of classes to verify readiness for this level.
