Are you ready to take the first step toward becoming an amazing camp counselor? Our 3-week Camp Counselor in Training Program is the perfect opportunity for teens to gain leadership skills, build confidence, and learn what it takes to work with younger campers—all while having a blast! During the first week, participants will dive into engaging in-classroom sessions designed to teach essential skills for camp counseling. In weeks two and three, participants will put their skills into practice by spending time at various camps throughout the Park District – Ackerman Sports and Fun, Nature, Imagination Station, and Camp Caravan. Under the guidance of experienced counselors, they will assist with leading activities, managing groups, and ensuring campers have a positive and safe experience. To celebrate their hard work, participants will enjoy a special camp adventure every Friday. By the end of the program, participants will earn a certificate of completion, setting them on the path to becoming outstanding camp counselors and leaders in their community. Must meet the age requirement by September 1, 2025. Location: Various Parks.
