About This Activity
Description
This class develops motor skills, balance, and cognitive awareness, creativity, rhythm, musicality, and self-esteem. Children will learn skills from all forms of dance from ballet to hip hop at an age appropriate level. Children must be able to attend class without an adult/caregiver present. Adults are required to stay within the building for the duration of each class, no exceptions. Ballet shoes or gym shoes are required.Dancers currently registered in fall session dance classes have the opportunity to participate in our Winter Showcase performance! All dancers will learn a choreographed dance in their class that they will be able to perform together at the showcase. No additional classes are required.Winter Showcase is an excellent chance for dancers to experience performing on stage in a low pressure environment prior to the spring recital. The showcase will be December 19th at the theatre at Spring Avenue Recreation Center times to be announced at a later date. Fee includes two tickets, t-shirt, and the performance.
