Young children who are new to the piano require engaging, age-appropriate instruction combined with whole body movement that inspires a fun and solid understanding of musical concepts. Lessons designed especially for 1st and 2nd graders will take students on a journey of movement, song, rhythm games, finger exercises, and imaginative stories as they apply what they learn to playing the piano. Students should have a piano or keyboard at home. An iPad is helpful but not necessary for additional at-home practice. A one-time, $30 materials fee is due the first day of class and covers all materials used for the school year. ALL GROUP LESSON students will showcase their progress in a recital Monday March 22 at the Lake Ellyn Boathouse. A $20 recital fee is included in tuition.
