About This Activity
In this robotics and coding class, students use Legos and SCRATCH to BUILD a busy CITY, MAKE it move and PROGRAM how it works! Each class focuses on a different part of city life, from transportation and construction to energy, rescue, and exploration. Students construct city vehicles like fire trucks, forklifts, cranes, helicopters, and trains; build important city systems like elevators, wind turbines, pumps, and cargo lifts; and use Scratch programming to bring their creations to life with motors, sensors, and interactive behaviors. As the city grows, discover how real machines help people work, travel, and stay safe. No prior coding or robotics experience needed—just imagination and a love of LEGO!
