Minecraft World! Think Minecraft is just a video game? Think again. With its critical thinking, block-building and 3D digital format, students use a computer to play the game in two modes. In Survival Mode, students design, build, problem solve and survive in a “world” they create together. Find food, erect a shelter, construct a village, create a map, craft tools and armor, farm and mine resources, and work collaboratively to escape the hidden dangers as the monsters come looking for you...ALL before darkness falls! Students collaborate as a team to explore the Overworld, defeat the Ender Dragon, and conquer the Nether. In Creative Mode ... no monsters...nothing can hurt you! Fly through your world and build whatever you can image with an unlimited library of resources to create art, architecture and go on virtual expeditions. In either mode, students learn skills of a programmer, game designer, engineer, artist and architect.
