About This Activity
Velo Kids is excited to offer an adventure-based, half-day bike camp in Grand Haven, teaching bike safety, skills and confidence through education, fun and many adventures on bikes in the Grand Haven area! 9am-11:30am 9 students & 2 coaches per group Summer Bike Campers: -Positive attitude -Able to comfortable ride 3-4 miles (1st- 2nd grade), 5-6 miles (3rd-4th grade) and 7-8 (5th-6th grade) -Camper must be comfortable and independent on two wheels (no training wheels) - Helmet and a functioning bike, ideally with gears -Contact emily@velo-kids.org if a bike or helmet are needed. Bike Camp Requirements: -Explore the area on bikes to learn about the exciting things in the community. -Build up their biking skills in fun and exciting ways. -Learn how to bike safely and gain awareness of their surroundings. -Practice stewardship for our trails, parks and our community. -Understand how their bike works and how to keep it maintained. -Meet new friends, be active, have FUN, and enjoy the great outdoors! -Receive a Velo Kids Bike Camp t-shirt.
