About This Activity
Description
Students will learn the fundamentals of childcare (feeding, diapering), child safety (choking emergencies, home hazards), and Adult/Child/Infant CPR/AED! This is a great class to build confidence as pre-teens and teens enter the exciting world of babysitting or if they are starting to stay home alone for the first time. The class is taught using various relevant videos, hands-on skill-learning sessions, and games.
Enrolled students receive a 30-page digital babysitting course book, a babysitting class completion certificate, an American Heart Association "Friends and Family" participation certificate, and an AHA 80-page Friends and Family student manual.
Students will need to bring a lunch/beverage.
The instructor is certified through the American Heart Association.
