About This Activity
This camp is for anyone new to chess in grades K-7. The goal of the camp is to teach the fundamentals of the game in order for the campers to start playing full games by the third day. There will be a great deal of one on one coaching by Rich Imbimbo and upper school volunteers. The campers will learn a life long skill within a supportive and relaxed environment. In addition to learning chess, there will be plenty of time for other activities, such as games, outdoor playtime and snacking. Many of our campers develop the skills to participate in the Middle School's weekly chess club held during the school year.
