It helps kids think about new ideas and picture things that are not right in front of them. When children use their imagination, they learn to solve problems, explore new ideas, and better understand the world around them. Imagination also helps kids grow in creativity, focus, and confidence. It builds strong thinking skills that support success in school and beyond. In this creative writing workshop, students will create an original story. They will use their imagination and follow the creative writing process to plan and draft their work. Each student will write about an exciting adventure or about solving a problem using their own special superpower—a strong character trait such as kindness, courage, or creativity. Through this process, students will learn how to turn their ideas into a complete story.
