Hidden Habitats: Squish through the salt marsh, climb on the rocky shore, and comb through the beach as you explore a different habitat each day! All themed weeks consist of time aboard one of our research vessels and our fleet of Carolina skiffs. Campers embark on a scientific adventure exploring Long Island Sound’s rocky shores, salt marshes, barrier beaches, and more! They will discover the vital role habitats play in our coastal ecosystems by using scientific instruments such as trawl nets, seine nets, plankton nets, and water chemistry kits. Back at Project Oceanology, we’ll reinforce what we have learned through games, art projects, and scientific experiments.
