About This Activity
Get ready for an unforgettable week on the water! This weeklong day camp takes adventurous youth across many of the Gunnison Valley waterways to explore, create, and grow as leaders. Campers will explore the local waterways through stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, and whitewater rafting, then finish the week swimming at Blue Mesa with JMC water inflatables! Throughout the week, campers will build confidence, develop recreation and water safety skills, learn about watersheds and the hydrosphere, and put leadership and teamwork into action through hands-on water-based STEM challenges. Day 1: Paddleboarding & Inflatable Kayaking Day 2: Fishing with Community Partner Day 3: Canoeing Day 4: Whitewater Rafting Day 5: Swimming & Water Inflatables at Blue Mesa Reservoir *Schedule subject to change*
