About This Activity
Deconstruction is the name of the game in this camp! Campers will use tools to take toys and small machines apart to understand how they work, how the parts work together, and develop ideas that would improve the product. And, the final challenge will include putting the toys and machines back together! Through disassembly, analysis, and reassembly, campers will unravel the inner workings of these classic devices, gaining insights into engineering principles and design concepts. Is your child attending Gunnison Watershed School District Summer Experience? Or, do you only need afternoon half day care? During the weeks of GWSD Summer Experience, the JMC Experience Camp option is from 12-5:30pm Mondays-Thursday + a full day on Fridays. This option is only available for the weeks of June 8, 15, 22, July 6, 13, 20. GWSD will provide transportation from Summer Experience to JMC. Field Trip: TBD Add On Field Trip Option: Forgo the regularly scheduled field trip and join Three Rivers Resort for Whitewater Rafting the Lower Taylor River
