Young artists explore the exciting world of visual storytelling and comics. Students learn the fundamentals of creating their own unique characters, from character design and expressive faces to dynamic poses, costumes, and personality development. As they build their ideas, students move from character creation into storyboarding, learning how to plan and organize their stories visually. They practice using panels, speech bubbles, and sequencing to bring their ideas to life on the page. Throughout the class, students strengthen their drawing skills, grow their creative confidence, and develop their own storytelling style. By the end of the course, each student will have a finished comic strip or a small character portfolio to share.
