Description

City of Hanford Youth Futsal League

Ages 6-12: Registration Now Open!
Get ready for an exciting season of futsal! The city of Hanford Parks & Community Services is introducing a Youth Futsal League designed to promote teamwork, sportsmanship, skill development, and friendly competition. Futsal is a fast-paced version of soccer played on a smaller, hard-surface court with 5 players per team on the court, including the goalkeeper. Unlike traditional indoor soccer, which may use walls or boards to keep the ball in play, futsal uses boundary lines, encouraging better ball control, accurate passing, and quick decision-making. Futsal also uses a smaller, low-bounce ball to develop footwork and technical skills.
League Details:
  • Ages: 6-12 years old
  • Location: Longfield Center
  • Game Day: Tuesdays only (no practice)
  • Time: 5:30pm - 8:30pm
  • Season: 6 weeks
  • Regular Season: 5 weeks of league games
  • Week 6: Championship Game
  • Game Length: 30 minutes (two 12-minute halves with a 2-minute halftime break) Team Transition (4 minutes)
  • Team Size: 7 players per team, (5 on the court, 2 substitutes)
