Rowers and Coxswains with less than one year of experience. Fall 2025 Schedule Season Runs from 9/2 - 10/28 Tuesday, September 2 — Youth Parent/Athlete Meeting, 5:30 pm at the boathouse Wednesday, September 3 — First day of practice Saturday OR Sunday September 20 or21 -- Home Scrimmage Saturday, September 27 — Run for the Riverfront 5k at the boathouse Sunday, October 5 — Head of the Riverfront Regatta Sunday, October 12 -- Head of the Housatonic, Shelton, CT (Varsity and Novice Invite Only) Sunday October 19 — Head of the Charles in Boston, MA. (Select Crews Only) Sunday, October 26 — Head of the Fish Regatta in Saratoga, NY Wednesday, November 5 — Youth Banquet 6 pm at the boathouse Our youth rowing program blends urban and suburban participants who practice and race together, giving both groups the opportunity to learn from one another in our own version of a magnet school for rowers. Past rowers have earned rowing scholarships to college, participated on US Junior National Development Teams, and earned invitations to the prestigious USRowing Youth Nationals. All Riverfront Rowing youth programs are free to residents of Hartford & East Hartford and discounted for non-resident students attending Hartford & East Hartford schools.
