Description
Little Tykes Go on Hikes
Spark a love for the outdoors with an exciting series of themed, family-friendly adventures designed for children. Each guided hike blends exploration, education, and fun, encouraging young adventurers to discover nature through hands-on experiences. Additionally, adventures will introduce kids to Leave No Trace principles, outdoor safety, and a deeper appreciation for the environment.
Check out the monthly themed hikes below! Choose one or more of the dates offered to participate!
All hikes meet at the CREC

Time: Saturdays, 10:45-11:45am
Hikes:
- January 31: Treasure Hunt
- February 28: Storybook Adventure
- March 28: Geocache Puzzle
- April 11: Treats on the Trail**
- May 9: Wander & Wade: Creek Expedition
** Treats on the Trail is $16 per child.
Children must be accompanied by an adult. Children under 3 years old are free when accompanying another registered child.
Allergen Notice for Hikes with Treats: While we make every effort to limit contact with common allergens, we cannot guarantee that treats or equipment used during this program are free from allergens such as (but not limited to) dairy, wheat, soy, eggs, nuts, and shellfish. Participants with food allergies should use caution and bring their own supplies if needed.
You will receive a welcome letter 2-3 days before the start of the program with detailed information about what to bring, where the program is, and more.
Hiking Hound Adventures Weather Policy: Our courses and trips happen rain or shine. Please remember to dress for the weather and be prepared to embrace the adventure. In the event that the weather poses a serious hazard, we will make a go/no go decision onsite, at the time of the event.
