Buddies Bonanza!
Our spring break camp for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) , offering themed activities, social skill opportunities, nature walks, group games, arts and crafts and more. Students are encouraged to bring a peer buddy!
We encourage those enrolled to bring a buddy to camp with them if they choose.
This camp is FREE, registration required.
Be prepared for camp:
• Bring a reusable water bottle
• Pack a lunch
• Prepare to be outside for periods of the day
Meet our experienced staff who are trained in working with individuals on the spectrum.
• Teresa Riccio is a member of the Chester County Intermediate Unit Training and Consultation (TaC) team, where she serves as an Independent Tier 1 PBIS Facilitator, a Teen Mental Health First Aid instructor, and a Check & Connect trainer. Teresa taught 3rd and 4th grade for 8 years in a Chester County school district prior to joining the TaC team and is passionate about teacher and student wellness. Outside of work, you can find her with her nose in a book or taking pictures of plants at her beloved Longwood Gardens.
• Cassie Brennan is a member of the Chester County Intermediate Unit Training and Consultation (TaC) team, where she serves as an Independent PBIS Facilitator at Tiers 1 and 2, SWIS and Check In Check Out (CICO)-SWIS facilitator, and Check & Connect Certified Trainer. Prior to joining the TaC team, Cassie served as a Special Education Teacher in a Center Based, Life Skills Support classroom for 7 years. These collaborative experiences have allowed Cassie to develop a passion for Social Emotional Learning, Positive Behavior Supports, function-based intervention matching, data-based decision making, and MTSS Behavior. Her preferred reinforcers include her family, coffee, concerts, and nature.
You will receive a welcome letter 3-4 days before the start of the program with information about what to bring, where to meet, the weather plan, and more.
Refund Policy for all Programs (excludes fitness)
- There is a $25 drop out fee for all programs if you withdraw within one week (7 days) of the program start date.
- Full refunds/credits will be issued if the Parks & Recreation Department cancels a program.
- All refunds have a $10 service fee attached unless the refund is due to injury.
- There is no fee switching from one program to another unless the balance of the class is different.
- After a program starts no refunds will be given unless approved by the Program Coordinator
