About This Activity

Focus: Mixed Media & Material Exploration In this exciting and playful class, young artists will experiment with a wide range of materials—from paint, paper, and pastels to found objects and cardboard! Each week introduces a new technique or combination of materials that encourages curiosity, creativity, and confidence. Students will: *Create both 2D and 3D art projects *Practice layering, tearing, gluing, painting, and drawing *Explore texture, color mixing, and composition What they’ll learn: -How to use and combine a variety of art materials -Understanding of basic elements of art: line, shape, texture, and color -Introductory skills in collage, sculpture, and painting -How to make creative decisions and problem-solve through hands-on making **This class will repeat every 4 weeks with all NEW projects and skill building.
