About This Activity
Storytelling through Content Creation is for youth interested in digital art, creativity, social media, and technology. Participants will learn how to create engaging, responsible content using everyday tools like their smartphones and user-friendly editing apps. Students will explore the fundamentals of content creation — including camera angles, composition techniques like the rule of thirds, and creative problem-solving using the resources they already have on hand. Along the way, students will be introduced to storytelling through editing, helping students shape their raw footage into ideas that are thoughtful, intentional, and visually compelling. By the end of the class, students will walk away with finished reels and a stronger understanding of how to create content that's both creative and responsible.
