About This Activity
Instructor: Derris Dabbs Unlock the world of digital creativity in this beginner to intermediate 4-week class for students ages 9 and up! Whether you're new to digital art or have some experience, this class provides a fun and interactive introduction to creating art using digital tools. Students will explore the basics of digital drawing and design, learning how to use tablet apps and Procreate to bring their ideas to life. With hands-on projects, they’ll develop essential skills such as layering, color theory, and using brushes and textures, while experimenting with various styles and techniques. This class is designed to build confidence and creativity, helping young artists enhance their digital art skills while expressing their unique vision. By the end of the course, students will have a collection of original digital artworks to showcase! iPads and Apple Pencils are provided by the MACC, but you are welcome to bring your own. This class will repeat every 4-weeks. Previous students will continue on with more advanced concepts.
