About This Activity
Has your child ever said, "I can’t draw"? It’s a common feeling, even for young kids—but we believe talent is just interest, nurtured with a little practice! This encouraging, beginner-friendly class is designed to help young artists build confidence and see the world in a whole new way. Instead of feeling overwhelmed by a big picture, students will learn how to break complex objects down into simple, easy-to-draw shapes and lines. Step by step, they’ll learn how to put those pieces back together to create drawings they are proud of! What your child will learn and do: Learn how simple shapes (circles, squares, lines) make up the world around us Improve skills of observation, proportion, and placement Use their very own sketchbook as a fun space to experiment, practice, and play See their artistic skills and confidence grow over time Finish the session with completed drawings and a confidence in their abilities
