About This Activity
Instructor: Derris Dabbs Step into the world of comics and graphic novels in our 6-week Digital Comic Creation class, designed for students ages 10-14! Whether you're drawn to superheroes, fantasy, or slice-of-life stories, this course will teach you how to bring your own comic ideas to life through digital art. Students will explore the art of visual storytelling, learning how to design characters, create dynamic panels, and structure compelling narratives. With a focus on digital tools, this class covers the essential techniques of comic creation, from sketching and inking to adding color and effects. By the end of the class, students will have completed their own short digital comic, showcasing their creativity and storytelling skills! iPads and Apple Pencils are provided by the MACC, but you are welcome to bring your own.
