Got the basics down and ready to take your designs to the next level? This 6-week class is built for students who already have some 3D printing experience and want to grow beyond beginner projects. Prior enrollment in an intro class isn't required — but students should already be comfortable with basic 3D design concepts and terminology. This hands-on, project-based class introduces more complex builds and real design challenges. Students will expand their CAD skills while working on projects like articulated objects, multi-part assemblies, and customized creations — learning to refine details, improve functionality, and problem-solve like real designers and engineers. Along the way, students will dig deeper into the "why" behind the print: how design choices affect strength, movement, and overall print quality. Through creative experimentation and independent thinking, students will leave with stronger CAD skills, sharper engineering instincts, and a collection of printed projects that reflect real design growth.
