About This Activity
Discover how simple pieces of paper can become incredible works of art! In this hands-on class, students will learn the safe and proper use of craft knives and other paper-cutting tools while exploring creative techniques for designing with paper. Young artists will brainstorm ideas, sketch original designs, and carefully cut, layer, and assemble a variety of colorful and textured papers to create one-of-a-kind artworks. Rather than making a traditional collage, students will transform individual paper pieces into entirely new images, building skills in composition, craftsmanship, creativity, and problem-solving along the way.
