About This Activity
Instructor: Anna Grayson Learn how to use photo references like a pro! In this session, students will explore how to draw from photographs without copying blindly—focusing instead on how to interpret, edit, and bring their own artistic voice into the process. We’ll cover strategies for choosing good reference photos, how to break down complex images, and how to translate what you see into expressive, accurate drawings. From portraits to landscapes to still life, students will work from a mix of source images as well as their own photos. *In this 4-week session, students will: *Learn how to analyze and draw from photographs *Improve accuracy, proportion, and composition *Practice drawing a variety of subjects *Develop finished pieces based on chosen reference images Perfect for artists looking to level up their realism or practice drawing outside of live observation!
