About This Activity

In Anime Comic Creations, young artists will dive into the exciting world of anime-style drawing and comic storytelling. This camp focuses on developing drawing skills while learning how to bring characters and stories to life on the page. Students will practice drawing expressive faces, dynamic poses, dramatic hairstyles, and detailed costumes inspired by the anime style. They’ll learn the fundamentals of comic design including panel layout, speech bubbles, motion lines, and visual storytelling techniques that make comics exciting and easy to follow. Throughout the camp, artists will develop their own original characters and build a short comic story from start to finish. Emphasis will be placed on proportion, shading, perspective, and creating emotion through facial expressions and body language. On the final day of camp, we invite parents to a special reception to celebrate their young artists and to see the work your children have created throughout the week.
