About This Activity
Instructor: Anna Grayson Let your imagination run wild in this creative and mind-bending drawing session! In Surreal Sketchbook, students will explore how to combine unexpected objects, distort reality, and create dreamlike imagery inspired by the surrealist art movement. Students will dive into drawing exercises that challenge logic and embrace imagination. From floating figures to impossible spaces, students will learn how to push their ideas beyond the ordinary and develop their own surreal style. In this 4-week session, students will: *Explore surrealism through drawing prompts and creative challenges *Learn how to combine objects and ideas in unexpected ways *Practice sketching from imagination as well as reference *Develop a small series of original, surreal-themed artworks No experience with surrealism needed — just a love of drawing and a curious mind!
