About This Activity
Instructor: Cain & Cyle Barnes 
In this musical adventure, young artists will explore the exciting connection between music and visual art with musicians Cain & Cyle of the Weeks. Campers will choose a favorite musical artist, band, or genre as their inspiration and create artwork that reflects the sounds, emotions, and energy of the music they love. Throughout the week, students will experiment with drawing, painting, and mixed media while turning music into visual expression. Projects may include designing their own concert posters, building mixed-media collages using song lyrics and imagery, creating custom band logos or decorating a mini “record sleeve”. Along the way, students will explore how artists use color, texture, movement, and composition to represent sound and emotion. Whether they’re inspired by a favorite performer or a style of music they love, campers will be encouraged to experiment, express their personality, and develop new artistic skills. By the end of the week, each artist will leave with a collection of music-inspired artwork that shows how creativity can move from sound to canvas. 🎨🎶 On the final day of camp, we invite parents to a special reception to celebrate their young artists and to see the work your children have created throughout the week.
