Instructor: Ryan Cooper Ready to level up your 3D printing skills? This class is designed for students who already have some experience with 3D printing and want to go further with their designs and ideas. Students do not need to take the Introduction to 3D Printing class to enroll, but should be comfortable with basic 3D design concepts and terminology. In this hands-on, project-based class, students will expand their computer-aided design (CAD) skills while tackling more complex builds and design challenges. They’ll explore how to improve functionality, refine details, and solve real-world design problems as they create and print advanced projects such as articulated objects, multi-part designs, and customized creations. Students will also deepen their understanding of how design choices impact the printing process, including strength, movement, and print quality. This class encourages creativity, experimentation, and independent thinking while strengthening STEAM skills in design, engineering, and problem-solving.
