Instructor: Ryan Cooper In this 4-week introductory 3D printing class, students will discover how ideas on a screen become real, physical objects. Designed especially for beginners, this class introduces the basics of 3D design and 3D printing in a fun, hands-on way. Students will learn simple computer-aided design (CAD) skills while exploring creativity, spatial thinking, and problem-solving. Using easy-to-understand tools and guided instruction, they’ll design and print beginner-friendly projects such as personalized keychains, fidget toys, and themed creations. Along the way, students will gain a foundational understanding of how 3D printers work, how digital models are prepared for printing, and how design choices affect the final object. This class builds confidence, curiosity, and core STEAM skills—no prior experience needed.
