Kids Musical Theatre at Round Meadow Experience: All experience levels are encouraged to enroll! Rehearsals: 1st-5th Graders: Performers will rehearse every Wednesday from 12:30 - 3pm. (3-3:30pm) will be utilized for specialty roles each week). Auditions & Casting: Each performer who enrolls will perform in TWO casts. One cast will be their featured role (role with lines, a solo, duet, or special feature) and an ensemble show (smaller role, dancing and singing in major group numbers). Some performers will be cast in age-appropriate featured roles that they will perform twice. Program Duration: Spring Semester (March - June) Session Capacity We are able to enroll 40 kids into the program. The first 40 kids to register will be considered for all available roles. A waitlist will open after the first 40 kids are enrolled. What Happens In Rehearsals? Kids will work in an interactive and creative environment where they will be taught singing, dancing, acting, and choreography specific to the musical being rehearsed. Who Teaches The Kids? Our program is directed by Jaya Ely and led by our Artistic Director, Jessica Alexander, (MFA Acting, New School University), and supported by a number of directors and choreographers who are skilled in various aspects of theatre and performance.
