Welcome to the Hillsborough Recreation Badminton Program!We are excited to offer our badminton program. Mrs. Bowie will be coaching our team again this year, providing the kids a fun, learning experience for participants of all skill levels.
This program runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Crocker Gym from 3:30–4:45 (until matches start). You do not need your own equipment (except proper athletic gear–athletic shoes, no jeans, etc.) as we will provide the kids with rackets for their practices and games, but are encouraged to bring their own if they have them.
Once we start our league, doubles partners will be ranked and may play at different locations depending on the differing ability levels. We don’t want a beginner partnership to have to compete against kids who play year round. All of these league matches are played on Tuesdays from 3:30–5:30, with practices continuing on Thursdays from 3:30–4:45.
The first practice will be on Tuesday, April 9th. Our last day of Badminton (tournament championship) will be on Tuesday, 5/21.
