Description
Welcome to Hillsborough Recreation Junior Tennis Summer Camp! Our camp curriculum combines drills, technical and tactical coaching, match play, athletic development, and conditioning, all tailored to the specific ages and skill levels of each player group. Through drills and match play it’s important that students have fun while improving their tennis game.Classes run daily 8:45 AM-12:00 PM. There will be a 20 minute snack break halfway through the class.
Our experienced coaches Eric and Lucas, have over 40 years of combined playing and coaching experience and currently operate Apex Court Academy in the local area. (Apexcourtacademy.com)
Orange Ball Court (Ages 6-9)Beginner: Focus on learning the beginning building blocks of tennis. Our Orange ball group will also participate in fun games that develop technique and team building. By the end of the session, participants will have a solid understanding of the basic tennis skills and will be excited to continue developing their game in a positive and energetic setting.
Green Dot Ball Court (Ages 10-13)Intermediate: Players will work on refining technique and increasing tactical awareness. By the end of the session, participants will gain more confidence in their overall game, with a better understanding of how to transition from practice to competition.
REQUIRED ITEMS: Tennis racket, athletic shoes (tennis specific shoes preferred), water bottle, sunscreen, snack.
