About This Activity
ARE EAGLES EXTINCT? Our national symbol of freedom? The Bald Eagle is part of our community right here in Hillsborough! In this course, you will learn how this strong and protective raptor was almost wiped away from existence, just a few decades ago. You will build a giant eagle's nest, read, research and present eagle facts using Google slide shows, create eagle arts and crafts, explore food chain activities through yoga, such as sun salutation and eagle pose, engage in wing span math activities and lots more fun! You will also learn how our efforts have immensely impacted our local environment, delisting the Bald Eagle from New Jersey’s endangered species list. Come join us for a soaring adventure!
