About This Activity
Join us for Velo Kids Summer Camps, where young riders will be challenged to grow their bike handling skills, learn to ride well in groups, and develop the confidence to navigate city streets! We use a proven, engaging curriculum to ensure campers have fun while learning urban bike safety, essential biking skills, and stewardship. To make the most of camp, riders should already be comfortable on a two-wheeled pedal bike without training wheels or striders. Campers will be grouped based on their abilities, and assessments will be made to determine if they’re ready to move up to more advanced groups in the future. Each playful 1.5-hour biking session is designed to build skills and confidence. What to Bring: A positive attitude! A helmet and a functioning two-wheeled pedal bike. Don’t have one? Borrow from our Bike Library! (Contact emily@velo-kids.org if a bike or helmet is needed.) Snack and water bottle that can be carried by camper.
