The Leader-In-Training, or LIT program at Camp Ohieysa offers teen campers ages 14 and 15 the opportunity to spend 2 weeks unplugged on the shores of beautiful Fish Lake. Campers in the LIT program will learn the basics of becoming a youth leader both in and out of the camp environment, under the guidance of our trained teen leadership staff. LITs will be tasked with working together to complete challenging group tasks, participate in group discussions on what it means to be a leader and work directly with our campers. They will get a hands-on experience of leading a group of youths, all while still getting to take part in the camp activities they know and love. LITs will spend a night camping in tents on our camp property and take part in an offsite day trip to a nearby location.
Camp registration is not complete until you have completed your online camper forms. CampDoc will send you an email to complete your profile - it is due one week prior to the start of the camp week.
Refund Policy: All deposits are non-refundable. Deposits can be transferred to a different session or sibling at any time. Refunds (excluding the deposit) can be made until May 1. After May 1, session fees can be transferred to another session or sibling during the current camp season or refunded 50% of total fee (excluding the deposit). Two weeks prior to the camp session, fees are refundable only in the case of illness or injury with a written note from a physician to YMCA Camping Services.In the case of homesickness, dismissal, voluntary withdrawal, late arrivals, or early departures, there will be no refund of fees.
