Learning Beyond Boundaries is for students in grades 8–12 who are ready for greater independence and opportunities beyond a traditional after-school program. Students will explore Pittsburgh and the surrounding community through field trips, colleges and universities, cultural experiences, career exploration, community partnerships, recreation, and other hands-on learning opportunities. The program will also include academic support, PSAT/SAT preparation, life skills, leadership development, college and career exploration, and preparation for adulthood. Requirement: Minimum attendance of 3 days per week. Cell phones: Allowed and may be used responsibly for communication, academics, research, transportation, and program activities. Ages: 13-18. All three programs are FREE for children who live in Homestead, West Homestead, or Munhall, and for children whose parent or guardian works for the Steel Valley School District.
