This workshop focuses on learning academic principles of line, shape design, measurements and proportions, which assist in teaching the languages of careful observation, interpretation and representation. All aspects of light, form, value scale and dimensionality are strategically taught in the form of daily exercises, demonstrations, individual critiques and guidance. The result is a finely rendered classical drawing done in graphite. This course is taught by local award-winning and critically acclaimed poetess, author, writer and realist painter, and strategy/life consultant and coach Kamlika Chandla. You can find more information on her website www.kamlikachandla.com. Weather appropriate footwear and outdoor clothing should be worn for outdoor periods. Participants need to bring a nut-free snack and refillable water bottle each day. All materials are provided.
