About This Activity
Join Leanne Monthéard, French specialist and former Blake teaching assistant, in this introductory French language workshop intensive. Students will cover basic greetings and the calendar (date/seasons/weather), and also learn to describe personality traits/feelings (feminine and masculine adjectives) and physical traits (e.g., hair color, height, eye color). Students will be immersed in the language by primarily hearing only French, and they will play French games during outside recess. This workshop is for students with little or no experience with the French language, those interested in taking French at school and students who would benefit from review of the basics. Writing, reading and listening activities will be part of the daily routine as worksheets, group tech games and acting out scenarios with newly acquired vocabulary are incorporated into learning.
