About This Activity
Students will learn, grow and have double the fun in this class, combining the techniques of ballet and jazz dance. Dance instructor Monica Ashton will lead dancers of all levels through technique, strength and flexibility practices as well as dance terminology. Students will enjoy learning across the floor movement, barre exercises, choreographed combinations, dance to great music, and engage in games that build community and friendships. The final class will feature a short dance performance for families to attend. *Dancewear is encouraged but not required, however ballet or athletic shoes need to be worn while dancing. Students who wear dance attire should be prepared to change footwear and clothing for their lunch and outdoor period. Participants need to bring a nut-free lunch, snack and refillable water bottle each day. Microwaves and refrigerators are not available.
