About This Activity

Dive into a world of aquatic adventure with our youth swim lessons! Daily swim lessons are a great way to begin a day of camps and classes at Blake. Designed to lay the groundwork for a lifetime of fun, safety and holistic development, our program goes beyond the strokes. In these engaging sessions, young swimmers not only build essential water safety skills but also experience the physical, social and mental benefits of swimming. Join us to make a splash in the pool and set the foundation for a lifetime of aquatic enjoyment and well-rounded development. Blake’s coaching staff prides itself on utilizing individualized instruction to bring each swimmer to the next level. Staff are Red Cross certified, and the swimmer to staff ratio is 1:6. Register your child for the level that most accurately describes their current swimming ability. A swim assessment on the first day of camp will guide goal setting and performance outcomes. Sign up for multiple weeks to see the best results. Participants progress to foundational skills, including mastering floating on their back, flipping to breathe on their side, and basic front crawl techniques. Water safety will be reinforced as swimmers develop a solid foundation for more advanced strokes while building endurance and confidence in their swimming abilities. Participants who advance beyond the foundational skills will work on refining stroke techniques and work on perfecting the front crawl, backstroke and breaststroke. Introduction Swimmers will be introduced to treading water and deep-water exploration.
